Intriguing Specialized Collection with booklet panes, varieties, booklet covers, and interesting postal history (Scott 331a//502b), including 1908 1¢ green panes (3, one with plate number), 2¢ carmine panes with plate numbers (3), complete bottom sheet strips (4) with plate numbers (5445, 5446, 5448 and 5550) plus arrow, all o.g., 2¢ pair and single on 1910 mourning cover from Summit, N.J. to London with Great Britain King Edward VII 1d applied to pay redirection fee to Germany, 1914 1¢ and 2¢ used on separate postcard and cover from Vera Cruz during the American occupation, 1918 1¢ green panes, positions L, M and O all with interrupted guidelines, the last believed unique, and pair, position L with interrupted guide line on 1926 local Macon, Ga. cover, also considered unique, various issues in panes showing siderographer's initials, double transfers, cracked plates, and other usages with Parcel Post, French Postage Due, Cristobal (Canal Zone), Dominican Republic during U.S. Marines intervention, U.S. Postal Agency Shanghai, and St. Thomas (D.W.I), and 3¢ violet with 1917 type I panes (6, three with plate numbers), o.g., one c.t.o., and type II pane, position L with interrupted guide line, o.g., mainly Fine to Very Fine. 1909-17, Washington-Franklins, cover collection sorted by year (Scott 331a//502b), approximately 800 covers and postcards, consisting of approximately 100 postcards (mostly 1¢) and 58 covers franked with the first design (ONE CENT/TWO CENTS; 1909-1912), then 81 covers and postcards 1912 to early 1914 (new design; must be #405b & 406a), mid 1914-1916 Perf 10s approximately 200 (mostly #424d & 425e and a few #462a & 463a from late 1916 when issued) including many with Naval and Vera Cruz Mexico cancels, and approximately 400 from 1917 (Perf 11s) including a few A.E.F. (one with letter), a Registered gold tag from Alaska to San Francisco (retail approximately $150), two pairs on cover to Australia, pair on backstamped cover to Siberia and returned to sender, few covers with complete panes including #502b on legal sized flight cover, few advertising, wide variety of town cancels including few Territorial; few faults as always, generally Fine to Very Fine.
