Worldwide, "The Mickey Mouse Club" Anything & Everything Disney, 1968-2000s, Iconic cartoon characters Mickey, Donald, Goofy and the like are so immediately recognizable, they have become so embedded into American culture, dare we even say, right up there with baseball and apple pie. And Disney memorabilia is still so highly sought after, even many non-stamp collectors collect Disney stamps. It all started in 1968 when the U.S. issued a stamp honoring Walt Disney, and just two years later, the microstate San Marino released a set of ten stamps featuring various Disney characters, and by then, the seed had been planted. Over the years, thousands of different stamps have been issued, and this holding is perhaps the largest ever offered at auction cataloging at many hundreds of thousands of dollars. Virtually all mint and in singles, blocks, souvenir sheets and full sheets. Some of it is in mild duplication, while others are still in "brick" format direct from the printers. You'll also find various imperfs, progressive color proofs, hundreds if not thousands of FDCs, numerous commemorative sets, postal stationery, souvenir cards, stamp albums, and various movie poster and character collecting cards. As the saying goes, "You gotta collect 'em all!" Large quantities from some of the most prolific stamp issuing entities include Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada & the Grenadines, Maldives, Sierra Leone and St. Vincent.
