1933 Italy Flight (Sieger 207), eight including one cover and six cards or postcards with German stamps tied by large "Luftschiff Graf Zeppelin 29.5.33 or 30.5.33" double circle datetamps and addressed to Rome, Germany or Czechoslovakia, we note Sieger Nos. 207 Ab, 207 Aba (where three Italian stamps were affixed for the card's return by surface mail to Germany), 207 Ba (3), 207 Da and 207 Db, and one card with Switzerland stamps tied by "Romanshorn Briefpost 28.B.33" circular datestamps and without arrival cancel addressed to Luzerne, all with red Zeppelin flown handstamp cachet, Very Fine.
Sieger €1,310 ($1,420).

This flight was arranged by the Nazi Propaganda Ministry to coincide with the visit of its Director Goebbels to Rome. The Graf Zeppelin departed Friedrichshafen at 24 minutes past midnight on May 29. In late afternoon, it flew over Naples where a small amount of mail was dropped. The Graf Zeppelin landed at 6:14pm at Rome's Ciampiano airport where King Victor Emmanual, Italy Balbo and Goebbels were among those who assembled for its arrival after a 17 hour and 50 minute flight covering 1,129 miles.
