1343 cover 59 A, 64 F Brazil image1930 (May 28, Jun 3), South America Flight, Recife - Lakehurst, Lakehurst - Friedrichshafen (Sieger 59 A, 64 F), Zeppelin postcard addressed to (and, no doubt sent by), "Engineer K. Beuerle, of Crew of Graf Zeppelin, Lakehurst, Navy-Hangar"; franked with 5,300r including a 5,000r Semi-Official Zeppelin tied by May 28 Recife dated flight cachets and bearing the green Lakehurst Zeppelin receiver; at Lakehurst, Beuerle added a U.S. 65¢ Zeppelin, which was canceled with a Jun 2 c.d.s, and the American Return-Flight cachet was applied, as well as (mistakenly) the small Round Trip handstamp, and the card was flown to Friedrichshafen, where the Jun 6 receiver was applied. Also, for some reason, Beuerle had applied 18pf in unnecessary German postage, which had never been canceled (though it is tied by a Brazilian flight cachet and by the final Friedrichshafen receiver), Very Fine and, no doubt, unique.
