113   imageBalance Lot with High Face, 1857-2012, Plenty of worthwhile material in this remainder lot consisting of a few stockbooks of mint & used, a binder of mostly 19th century covers, and six Lighthouse cover albums of postal cards and hundreds more pieces of unused postal stationery including post office packs and 18 stamped express mail envelopes. Some nice surprises too, like a plate block of ten of #331 or a Shanghai cover with K2. But what really pushes this lot over the top is the high amount of face in glassine files, coil strips, a red box of plate blocks with an abundance of higher denominations from the 1990s & 2000s, and three binders, almost entirely made up of miniature sheets & souvenir sheets, the bulk of it in the 29¢-44¢ range. Face for the sheets alone totals over $1,700 and that is not including an imperforate uncut press sheet of the Circus Posters (4898-4905) consisting of six panes of sixteen, the souvenir sheet of the same issue (4905c) in a press sheet of twelve, and another press sheet of the Medal of Honor (4988). Really needs to be evaluated onsite for full potential, overall Fine to Very Fine. Shipping charges apply - weight 87 lbs. (Image)

114   image"Better by Design" Exciting Assortment of Used Classics, 1851-97, 21 manila stock pages of classics, and instead of catalogue number, this holding is organized by design, or as Scott calls it, the illustration number. Begins with about 30 imperf 1¢ Franklins and continues on through the Bank Notes with tantalizing quantities. Take the 90¢ Oliver Hazard Perry (design type A54) for example with over a dozen copies. Variance in shade is apparent, but what about the paper? Is it #155, 166 or 191? Could there be a 144 in there?! A spectacular lot to explore with astronomical catalogue value, even if you figure it on the lowest value possible! Condition does in fact vary, but generally Fine to Very Fine, scans of the entire lot viewable online. Shipping charges apply - weight 2.2 lbs. (PDF for this Lot) (Image)
