French Colonies, Outstanding Comprehensive Collections with Key Singles + Sets plus Varieties, Mint + Used, 1876-2000. Certainly one of the most interesting and exceptional holdings of French Colonies with in-depth Collections of Obock, Martinique, Guadeloupe containing both mint & used scarce singles and sets plus several dozen more individual collections all offered intact in two cartons and also loaded with better sets and many are all mint. Please review the photos or better in-person to fully appreciate the depth, value and quality of this astute collector formed lot. Many collections deserve to be sold individually including Martinique featuring both mint + used sets and the owner's Stanley Gibbons value of £7542 give you an idea of its scope. The Obock is also loaded and has an S.G. (owner's) value of £14,687. A single very advanced collection with varieties of Guadeloupe checks in at £10,995. These are higher value collections, but most countries are valued at well over £1000 and the value is in the 19th and better 20th century issues with many being all mint on printed or quadrille pages and black stock pages. We note a few proofs, blocks of four, errors, inverted surcharges, a wonderful mint collection of Postage Due issues including 700 different stamps and key sets. Countries present include: Algeria, Tunisia, Afars + Isaas, Excellent Ivory Coast, reunion, Strong French India, French Somali Coast, Mali, French Guiana, St Pierre & Miquelon with the 1941 F.N.F.L overprints and other better sets, French Equatorial Africa, French Guines, Lebanon, Chad, Central African Republic, French Morocco, Andorra, Comoro Islands, Malagasy Republic plus more. This lot also features excellent condition throughout with almost all being Fine to Very Fine in a collection this large there has to be some faults but they are very few.
