2016 (49¢) Forever Flag coil, die cutting omitted, grayish blue (inscription and date) + cyan & magenta omitted (Scott 5052b var.), transitional plate #B1---1 strip of 6, first three stamps missing inscriptions and all magenta and cyan, the last three with magenta apparently normal; black & yellow "1"s full color, magenta & cyan extremely faint, and grayish blue missing., o.g., never hinged, Extremely Fine. Two rolls of 100 reported—unlisted by Scott.

ONE OF ONLY TWO POSSIBLE TRANSITIONAL STRIPS.

Included is a clipping from the February 20, 2017 issue of Linns detailing the discovery of the two rolls and noting that there were 19 stamps in each roll with the magenta color present and 81 without. Therefore, since the number appeared only every 31 stamps, this would be the possible plate number position from each roll to show the "magenta" variety. (Image)
