The "PANAAM" variety occurs at only positions 41 and 46 of the earliest printings, but position 41 also has the spaced "A_L" variety. According to "Canal Zone Stamps," there are only 16 examples recorded of both positions combined, "3 unused and 13 used," though our search of online auction results turned up four mint/unused examples, this one being a fifth.
