98 cover 38 image1860, 30¢ orange (Scott 38), a nearly perfectly centered single tied by a segmented cork cancel on an 1860 folded cover to Paris, France; postmarked (all in red) "New Paid York/24, Aug 14" c.d.s., small boxed "PD" and French entry c.d.s.; directed via (manuscript) "Str. China, French Mail"; stamp shows signs of having been "freshened", otherwise Very Fine, signed by Wolfgang Jakubek with his 1987 certificate as having "natural—tolerable—signs of age".
