Worldwide, "Cover Your Tracks" Two Centuries of Postal History from Around the World, 1822-2000, In 13 cover albums, an assemblage of over 1,200 covers from a globe-trotting philatelist. Separate albums for France, Germany, Hawaii, Indonesia, Netherlands, Timor, Saudi Arabia, etc. Picture postcards from the WWI-era and before, much censored mail from WWII, FDCs and special event covers, an album with the British, French & Portuguese colonies of Africa, a box with approximately 100 covers from Asia, postal stationery from the Netherlands, Antilles, Surinam, and Timor, eight stampless French covers from the first half of the 19th century, a bit of United States with such interesting items as three covers addressed to U.S. Presidents Coolidge, Hoover and FDR, four battleship covers from the U.S.S. Arizona, Arkansas, Pennsylvania and Texas, an early Union occupation cover from New Orleans in 1862, and a 1941 cover from Herman Herst Jr., and some valuable German Zusammendrucke on cover with such better as MiNr. W21.2, W30.3 in a block of 9, a block of W34 & W35, and a cover with three tête-bêche pairs, K9, K11, K13. Worldwide, "Cover Story" Over a Century of Postal History with Much U.S., Germany & Others, 1890s-1990s, Every cover has a story and here are at least 5000 of them but probably much more, and more than half from the U.S. with many FDCs going back to the 1920s, hundreds of covers pertaining to the Vietnam War, much of which is centered around stamps honoring Vietnam Veterans, such as the ones issued in 1979 & 1984, as well as a binder of free franking covers cancelled aboard U.S. Navy vessels, and hundreds of used & unused pieces of postal stationery and picture postcards. Second in volume is probably Germany with much from the Reich but also many into the modern era. On the worldwide stage, also much from Belgium, Sweden, the U.N. commemorative editions on the Bicentennial of the American Revolution and a Tribute to the Statue of Liberty, various picture postcards from the early 20th century, over 100 unused postal cards from Poland, a cover album filled with WWI Feldpost from Eastern Europe and much more, overall Fine to Very Fine, a lot such as this requires personal inspection. Worldwide, Massive US and Foreign Cover Accumulation, many thousands of covers and a few post cards, better including 23 Charles Lindbergh themed picture postcards and covers, 8 Zeppelin flown covers / cards including Russia 1931 Polar Flight, imperforate set of four on registered on cover and card addressed to the Icebreaker "Malygin", US includes 6 Blood's covers with better No. 15L14 on cover with original 1854 letter by John J. Schell trying to collect a debt (Schell worked as an engraver and possibly lithographer, including in the partnership Jacobus & Schell, in Philadelphia in the 1850s and 1860s) and No. 15L18 on folded installation instructions for a gear's installation, a used Civil War Patriotic with original letter and a Confederate #12 on semi official "Office of the Commissioner of Taxes" cover a USPS envelope and two letter expalining the return of a flight cover that failed to transpire because the airport was not ready, and more, the lot also includes hundreds of US and foreign first day covers including some US oversized complete sheets, UN complete flag sheets, Canada and Switzerland, and plenty of commercial and classic covers interspersed in this generally disorganized accumulation housed in 27 boxes and tubs and trays, generally Fine to Very Fine, see a few highlights online. Worldwide, "Prison Break" Over 100 WWI P.O.W. Covers, 1915-19, To be exact, 105 covers in two binders. 22 of these covers are annotated on pages and include many from German prisoners, such as two from Pietermaritzburg (Natal), one to Saxony and the other to Heidelberg (Transvaal), a P.O.W. camp in Kurume, Japan written to his wife in Shanghai, another from Ahmednagar, India to Rhineland, and yet another from Isle of Man to New York. Some others include a cover from Broussa, Turkey to Surrey, England, one from Breslau, Poland to Marseille, and an extremely rare cover from a P.O.W. camp in Malta to Cairo.
