LotNo. Symbol CatNo. Lot Description
595   imageGerman States, "Die Feinschmecker-Sammlung" Mouthwatering Used Collection, 1849-1911, We've all seen German States collections before, a bunch of roughed up stamps on a page with corners missing and imperfs cut into the design. For this collector, that would have been totally unacceptable; what we get are fresh-looking stamps, four-margin copies and generally free of faults in a hingeless SAFE album. You will be able to view this entire collection online, but here is what to expect as identified by the collector: Baden #1-4, 6-9, 10-14, 15-18, 19-25, 26-28, Bavaria 1-3, 4-8, 9-14, 15-22, 23-30, 23a-30a, 31-32, 33-37, 38-47, 77-91, Brunswick 1-3, 4-11, 12, Hanover 1-6, 7, 8, 9-14, North German Confederation 1-11, 12, Oldenburg 1-3, 6-8, 9-15, 16-20, Prussia 1-5, 6-8, 9-13, 14-20, 21-22, 23-27, Saxony 1, 2, 3-8, 9-14, 15-20, Thurn & Taxis 1-7. It might be many moons before we see a States collection of this quality, generally Very Fine or better. Shipping charges apply - weight 7.6 lbs. (PDF for this Lot) (Image)
