401 O 104 image1861-66 (1875 Re-issue), 3¢ brown red (Scott 104), fresh and quite well centered with a characteristic prooflike impression, canceled by a neat duplexed "3" in barred ellipse; three small thin spots, Very Fine appearance, with a 2003 P.S.E. certificate graded GD 30 because of the thin spots.
Scott $13,000.


Only 465 examples were sold and used examples are exceedingly rare. The Siegel census records only 25 examples, 11 of which are faulty. This example would be a 26th. (Image) (Image2)
