589 C1 imagePapua, Airmail, 1929, 3d black & blue green (Scott C1), pair used with ½d & 4d Lakatoi, all tied by Samarai circular datestamps, 5 Mar 1930, on registered airmail cover originally addressed to Port Moresby with an identical on reverse; a large label has been placed over the left side of the cover (and the registration label) readdressing it to Bristol, England with the instruction "By Air Mail Cowins (?) to Fremantle", but with no indication that it ever re-entered the mails. Very Fine and most unusual.
