2577 87/97 var. imageNewfoundland, 1911, Guy Tercentenary lithographed, dignitary presentation card (Scott 87/97 var.), the set of 11 (6¢ with corrected "Z") affixed to a thick, specially prepared multicolor card, approximately 11¾" x 9¾", featuring the British "Union Jack" and the Newfoundland "Tricolor" with an inscription referring to the issuance of the stamps and "With the Compliments of the Government of Newfoundland" above a facsimile signature of the British Colonial Secretary; there is a bit of light toning, especially around the edges, but this is without doubt one of the finest of the very few surviving cards.
