1127 2 image1847, 10¢ black (Scott 2), four large balanced margins, neatly pen canceled on buff envelope to North Fairhaven, Mass. postmarked manuscript "Olive Grove Ga, Feby 18", docketed 1851 as "No 28" in the Swift correspondence (see below); wax seal stain in center, accompanying certificate notes "stamp with small faults at top right, a lightened stain at right and a small scissors cut in the margin at bottom right", none of which is really significant in our opinion, Fine, 02/18/51 in the Alexander Census.

Olive Grove received no 1847 stamps of either denomination. All 13 Olive Grove covers recorded in the Alexander Census are to Mrs. R.N. Smith in North Fairhaven, Mass. There are no 5¢ covers recorded.

Interestingly, we also offer a 10¢ Tallahassee cover addressed in the same hand to the same Mrs. R.A. Smith in Fairhaven. The Alexander Census records two "Swift" covers from Tallahasse and nine from Apalachicola.
