Germany, 1938-39, large size engravings with simulated perforations (Michel 664, 691, 701 var.), designs similar to the issued stamps, but without denominations, five different: Hitler 49th & 50th Birthdays, each in red & in green, Labor Day in brown; produced by engraver Adolf Dressler, die-sunk on Japan paper 120-130mm x 150-160mm; three with faults, mainly due to careless mounting on the fragile paper (one still stuck to backing sheet); a scarce and attractive group. One of these sheets is footnoted in Michel following no. 691.
