Brink in Genesee Depot, Wis.; below the second impression of the cancel is the typed legend from Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, "'For those who gave their lives that the nation mignt live ----'", Very Fine. Transit (Feb. 26), London PAID (Mar. 9) and "8" rate markings, along with a "PD" in oval handstamp, the latter overstruck by Mar. 10 Angl./Amb. Calais French receiver; additional manuscript "2/6" at upper right, Very Fine, an exquisite cover with beautiful postmarks. (Image)
