Postal Card, 1873, 1¢ brown on buff (Scott UX3), watermarked Small U.S.P.O.D., cancelled with excellent strike of Pittsburgh PA fancy negative STAR cancel with PENTAGON at center (similar to Cole STN-68) on 1874 docketed card addressed to Alliance Ohio, nice example of a style of cancellation which typically lasted only a few weeks, a Very Fine cover.

J. and FIVE POINTED STAR" killer on morning cover to Buffalo NY, cover without backflap, These cancels were used in the summer by a person making a mail run from the summer homes to the Spring Lake PO. Exceptionally rare use of the Beach House cancel of which there may only be one or two other examples, Probably a unique pair of covers Very Fine.
