1874, 40c rose King Victor Emmanuel II (Scott 9), well-centered and fresh example, on folded address sheet from Tunis to Genoa, tied by numeral "235" grid cancel (Sassone Type 4), with double-ring 28 GEN 74 Tunis postmark (Sassone Type 3) at right and auxiliary "coi Postali Italiani" handstamp below; reverse with Cagliari 31 GEN 74 transit and Genova 2 FEV 74 receiver, along with black wax seal, partly legible with "Guttieres" imprint; normal age wear and file folds, Very Fine, an extraordinary piece from the very beginning of the first year of the "ESTERO"-overprinted stamps.
