1868, Queen Victoria, 1s dark red brown, perf 11½-12½ (Scott 51), Large Star watermark, with 6d blue and 2d orange red (#47, 58) on piece to Mauritius via Aden; stamps tied by MR 28/73 postmarks, the piece endorsed "p mail steamer to Aden"; part of backflap opened for display, with "Aden Steamer Point" (Apr. 28) transit and Mauritius May 11 receiver; stamps with bold color, the 2d a fresh wing margin; Aden postmark crossed by crease and partially scissors-cut, otherwise Very Fine, an attractive tricolor franking and uncommon markings.
