2488   imageOlder Non-Philatelic Postal History Accumulation, About 600- 700 covers and cards randomly tossed in a box with no apparent order or organization except for 40 different 1850s-period New York State stampless folded letters in a small album. An initial review is somewhat disappointing as most of the items appear to be faulty, but as one digs deeper we find a group of about 70 St Louis World's Fair items with four of them being all-over color cachets. These also are somewhat worn but saleable. The other interesting thing about this lot is that a very large portion of them are to Europe, especially Italy and Switzerland, with frankings ranging from the early Bank Note issues to modern. There are small groups of WWI soldiers' mail, precancels, Special Delivery, Flight event, early postal cards to Europe, early machine cancels, some mint entires and Registered usages. Canal Zone is present with about a dozen WWII censored covers. For those curious and bold enough to proceed with a bid on this lot remember that at the opening bid it is probably at least worth the value of the New York stampless and the St. Louis multicolored covers and you can take a chance on the rest. Shipping charges apply - weight 10.4 lbs. (Image) (Image2) (Image3) (Image4)
