Very attractive.

2587 PSE image1916 (Oct 28) WWI usage of Russian 3k Postal Card with 35mm Cyrillic POW cachet in violet, to a German engineer in Peking with 1k added, Cyrillic Peking cds of 3.11.16 and German 'PEKING/16.11/16/DEUTSCHE POST' cds, two filing holes at the base otherwise very fine. The message written in German from a POW who requests tobacco & old newspapers in German English or French & states papers from neutral territories (as was China) are permitted. Rare usage to China, enhanced by the Russian PO in Peking datestamp.

2590 c image1862 (Oct 20) stampless cover to "Ballarat/Australia" with 'KJOBENHAVN/20/10' cds, oval transit of 'HAMBURG/21.10.62' & London cds of OC23/62 in red all on the face, the reverse with poor Melbourne transit of JA13/63 & superb 'BALLAARAT' arrival (note the spelling), one rear flap missing, contemporary ink-stains and some aging/soiling. The second-earliest recorded item from Denmark to Victoria.
