2306 c image1934 (Aug 22) usage of a Dutch Indies real photo PPC of a roadside fruitseller, to Perth endorsed "AIR MAIL" with KGV ½d & 4d tied by 'DERBY' cds, full social message. The letter rate by this time was 2d + 3d air supplement. For postcards, which are very elusive, it was 1½d + 3d.

A very scarce duo. The Printed Matter rate was 1d + airmail supplement of 3d. This quadrupling of the cost would have deterred most senders of printed notices etc from using airmail.  (2)
