449 nh image1891-93 Surcharges '2½d.' in Brown on Perf 10 4d blue-green SG 229 marginal block of 6 (3x2) with Value/Sheet Number '½d 11028' in Blue and upper-left corner block of 8 (4x2) with Value/Sheet Number '2½d 000752' in Black (thinned in the margin only at upper-left), well centred, characteristic minor bends, full unmounted original gum, Cat £130+, for mounted singles. [There was no regular 2½d denomination until the Tannenberg 2½d was issued in 1894, but paper with that value was apparently received during the printing of this provisional (first issued on 1.1.1891). This block is believed to be the only recorded '2½d...' Value/Sheet Number piece]  (2 blocks)

457 og image1894-1906 Tannenberg Designs Single-Line Perf 12 5d brown-purple, well centred, hinge remnants. Unlisted in the ACSC and Gibbons. RPSofV Certificate (2007). Absent from all the major collections. NB: the 5d SG 240 is Comb Perf 12x11½. The Line Perf 12 machine was introduced in 1903 to perforate the Tall Stamps SG 280-283. This is believed to be the only Perf 12 stamp recorded in the smaller designs.
