1019 c imageHoneywood: "Honeywood/13-3-76" postmasters manuscript endorsement in black ink at U/L of local cover with 2d green tied by largely very fine strike of Barred Numeral '129' (rated RRR), 'HOBARTTOWN' transit & Launceston arrival b/s, a few minor aging marks. PO 1.8.1869; closed 31.7.1901. Hardinge lists this as the only recorded example and the earliest known postal marking from this office by 22 years; the CDS (rated RRRRR) was issued around 1878 but is recorded 1898-1901 only.
