The ACS does not attribute these to Plunkett, but Frank Pauer has confirmed they were produced by him as precursors to the covers in the next Lot.

483 c imagePLUNKETT, LH: 1949-52 covers inscribed 'FIRST DAY COVER/[Flag]/AUSTRALIA' for 1949 Forrest  & 1950 QE 1½d green (both with Carrum cds), for 1950 Victoria, 1951 KGVI 2½d and KGVI 3½d (all with Melbourne cds) and for 1952 Scout Jamboree (with Mordialloc cds; minor blemishes), the last two additionally inscribed 'LH PLUNKETT/3 Kalimna Street, Carrum, Vic' at L/L, the majority are fine to very fine. The ACS states (p196) that "[These covers] are found for most stamp issues of the early 1950s, although each individual use is scarce. About half the covers seen have the publisher's name and text ...".
