AN EXCEPTIONALLY RARE BANK NOTE ISSUE USE TO TAMATAVE, MADAGASCAR.

There are only four recorded Bank Note usages to Madagascar, which are the earliest examples of United States mail to this remote destination. They comprise:
1. 1877 Nov. 6, Dobbs Ferry N.Y. to Tamatave, ex-Vogel
2. 1878 Jul. 11, Unadilla N.Y. to Tamatave, ex-M. Brown
