Pa. May 2, 1863" cds, redirected to Conway Centre N.H. with a second 3¢ rose tied by black grid with red "Saco Me." double-circle datestamp; two tiny covers tears at top, Extremely Fine, illustrated in Kantor (Fig. 262), ex-Kantor and Martin, with 2005 P.F. certificate.

The Catskill Mountain House, which opened in 1824, was a famous hotel overlooking the Hudson River Valley. In its prime, from the 1850s to the turn of the century, it was visited by three U.S. Presidents (U.S. Grant, Chester A. Arthur, and Theodore Roosevelt) and the power elite of the day.
