Mint unsevered card with Message card showing the error & Reply card normal, Reply card with minor corner fraying at bottom, Very Fine; with 2009 P.F. certificate. Scott No. UY1 var.  Estimate $2,000 - 3,000. This unique card has been know for many years and was the subject of an article written in the 1940's, however it has not been seen since. The card resided in the collection of Bob Payne for many years, which was acquired intact by Mr. Howard Mader several years ago. A Scott #UX2 with Double "Philippines." Overprint Variety was found a few years ago and reportedly sold privately for $20,000, which is the basis for the Scott listing.
