This steamboat was variously named, "Thomas W. Sugg", "C.S.S. Tom Sugg", "U.S.S. Tensas" & "Teche", which operated as a commercial carrier before the war and as both a Confederate and United States armed gunboat. After the war, it was sold to Capt.
