3862 740-751var.s imageHarold L. Ickes National Parks imperforate block collection, 1934. Mint block (and not to be confused with the imperforate 1935 Special Printings) collection from the only two sets of gummed imperforate sheets produced; including complete set of arrow blocks of 8 or larger, 3 signed by Ickes and dated "Aug 30, 1934", also a complete unique set of centerline blocks of 8 or larger as well as center gutter blocks for the 3¢ & 1¢ souvenir sheets, includes original Gimbels advertisement for the collection from the 1950's and an affidavit from Ickes, who was the Secretary of Interior and received the sheets from PMG James Farley, blocks fresh and have been lightly hinged.
