2262       Mexico, First Official Mail Postal History. O1, O3, O4, O7 - Four First Official covers include an O1 Michoacan treasury to Secretary of State in Morelia with the cancel Chilchota (Tay MICH 11/1), dated 1886, O3 cover is from Tepic, with Tepic eagle in an oval marking, sent July 21, 1887, to Mexico D.F., O4 cover is from Tamaulipas district court to G. Obregon in Mexico D.F. sent on March 19, 1894, scarce O7 is on a front from Linares, N.L., sent on October 20, 1894, with manuscript "De Officio" in upper right corner, portion of lower right stamp corner missing; total known O4 covers is less than 14 and the total known O6-O8 covers is less than 7, both the O4 and O7 Officials are unusual on cover.

2263       Mexico, First Official Hidalgo Medallion Block Group. Rarely seen group of mint blocks of 8 stamps each, with O1 Red showing positions 1-4 & 11-14, the O4 green and O6 blue (block of 4) present being the scarcest mint issues of the First Official stamps, O6 block has perforations of 11 x 11, and 5½ x 5½ First Officials are found to be used frequently but any mint First Official is uncommon.
