Fascinating lot of 11 cover mostly from Northern Prisons headed South with a variety of marking and cancels, most through or to Richmond with Richmond rate markings, noted is a Flag of Truce cover where a coin was affixed and is marked "Advertised 2", mixed condition, a nice lot worth careful review.

E1 mint, and Guard Mail complete, nice Hawaii with #27 on relatively complete mint, O1-6 o.g., Philippines with a few from Spanish period, with #225 mint, 1932-1941 on complete mostly mint, Airs, later Special Delivery, J1, J4 mint, "OB"s complete mint, Puerto Rico 210-216, J3 mint, Ryukyu mint with Airs complete mint, mostly o.g. to part o.g., mostly fresh colors; scattered with no gum.

2067 o/      Danish West Indies, - Great Britain Used Abroad Postal History, 1866-73. Nice group of 10 covers and 22 stamps/on piece items; covers with various Great Britain issues canceled by the barred "C51" oval cancellation, with usages to Halifax, N.S., Denmark, Demerara B.G., combination frankings to France, 1sh usages to London and interesting usage to Germany (missing a stamp), off cover items including 20 1sh QV issues arranged by plate no.'s; nice overall condition, worth proper review.

Includes used items and three postal history usages; used stamps include #1, 18a on piece and 25b, 1903, 2¢ carmine, tied by "St. Thomas, 13/4, 1905" cds on picture post card to Philadelphia Pa., U.S.A. (realized $325 hammer in our sale 97), 1871 (Dec. 12) San Juan, Puerto Rico to New York N.Y. via St. Thomas, blue folded cover with red "Porto-Rico, De 12, 71" cds and black "C61" barred oval ties G.B. 4d vermilion ($150 hammer) and #18a bisect usage ($160 hammer).

2078 /o      Hawaii, Stamped Envelopes Cut Square Stock, 1884-93. Housed in stock pages in three binders; with general 1884 issues and 1893 overprint issues in strong to heavy mint duplication and used varies with a nice section of various town cancels on the 1884 2¢ indicias, best is the blue inside cut squares most with both mint and used in modest to moderate quantities including a 5¢ cut square with Wells, Fargo & Co. oval date stamp and eight #U14 cut squares (blue insides alone catalog $14,575); condition varies with nice material throughout.
