1972-75 Rehabilitation 18c, error 'orange omitted' in a reconstructed horiz strip of 4, showing orange omitted on right portion of 1st stamp (so only part inscriptions & no denomination), orange totally omitted on 2nd stamp (no inscriptions or denomination) & partially omitted at left of 3rd stamp, 4th stamp normal. Inside covers black on yellow with printed columns for book-keeping use. No contents, book-keeping columns filled in. Overall F-VF for such a large booklet. Cover sl faded, plus stains. SG SB1a unpriced while other £1 booklets cat £15,000-£20,000. ACSC B3A(N)C listed as covers alone, while ACSC cat $30,000 for similar full booklets. 1908-09 completed design with stroke 20/- dull green. Superb fresh MLH, with nice original gum, excellent centring & good colour. SG D62 cat £7500. ACSC D65 cat $10,000. This top value was on issue only for several months & only in Sydney before it was replaced by the Bicolours & remainders destroyed. The rarest basic stamp of the Commonwealth of Australia & many times rarer than any £2 Kangaroo (ACSC says less than 100 known). Certificate can be obtained on request. (P) (Image1)
