Lot 2902 - 1914-15 'GRI 3s' 5½mm opt DNG Yacht 3Mk violet-black, variety 'no stop after I' (opt setting 7), which is listed by SG on the 1s/1Mk & 2s/2Mk, but NOT listed on the 3s/3Mk! VF MLH with original gum, stamp evenly lightly tropicalized. Mi 15II(var), SG 29(a) cat £10,000 as normal SG 29, while the pro-rata calculation from cat values of varieties 1s/1Mk & 2s/2Mk would make cat £22,000 for the variety 3s/3Mk. Unique example of this important variety which will surely get SG listin....Estimate AU$30,000 Sold for AU$ 22,000

Worldwide Public Auction - April 28-29, 2021

Auction 365 has 3,436 lots, catering for all types of collectors & dealers - from bulk accumulations and intact collections to desirable single items. This auction offers a huge range of material, with special emphasis on lotting stamps to cater for collectors with varying types of interests and budgets. Items range from $30 to $80,000 so there's something for everybody. This auction offers strong representation of Australia & Colonies, strong British Empire material of all areas & periods, as well as General Foreign including small and large collections. There are over 200 lots of Australian Collections (Lots 53-257) and over 350 lots of World collections (Lots 258-596).

Following on there are over 900 lots of Australia which consist of singles, sets and covers including Australian colonies (Lots 644-1566). The Australian lots cover all periods, from the Kangaroo issues up to Decimal and contains numerous number of mint & used £1 & £2 top values. This auction includes a First Watermark £1 Red-brown & blue variety 'white flaw in Gulf of Carpentaria'. VF fresh MUH, nice never hinged original gum. SG 15(var) cat £3000 for M, should be at least triple for 1st wmk MUH so £9000+. ACSC 51B(D)g cat $17,5000, plus large premium for the variety. Very rare genuine MUH.(Lot 705). There are over 1.900 lots of World stamps, covers and single country collections (Lots 1567-3436). Numerous other British Empire, European, The Americas and Asia.
