Mail Sale - July 25, 2018

Sam Houston Philatelics next auction will close on Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at 1:00 PM, CDT. The sale contains 626 lots, with material in all price ranges and something for everyone, collectors and dealers alike. A few of the highlights include the following:
  • UNITED STATES, There are (135) lots. A few of the highlights include a very nice no. 111; extremely scarce, a set of 551-72 Regular Issues w/beautiful color and centering, and a 3127c 32¢ Plants & Insects Complete Bklt/20. You will find a nice selection of Columbians, Trans-Miss, and Washington Franklins, with a variety of 1930 to Date.

  • COVERS, a nice selection of over (50) lots of Commercial, & FDC covers, including a few BOB covers. There is a C14 Zeppelin FDC, clean and nice!

  • AIRMAIL & BACK OF BOOK ISSUES, contains about (55) lots of Airmails and other BOB lots, with a nice $2.60 NH Zeppelin, and a scarce J58 (50-cent perf 10 carmine lake) and a few scarce distilled spirit stamps.

  • ERRORS, FREAKS & ODDITIES, about (40) lots with interesting selections of color varieties and shifts, perforation faults and other types of EFO's.

  • GENERAL FOREIGN & COLLECTIONS, over (90) lots with a variety of countries, from Australia to Yugoslavia. Also, a few U.S. Collections.

  • DUCK STAMPS AND CONSERVATION STAMPS (Federal, Junior & State) contains over (200) lots including Federal singles (100), MIni-sheets (6, incl an RW73b graded 98), Press Sheets (17), Federal Errors w/RW42 mis-cut pane/30, and Artist Signed stamps (about 20 Federal & State) and a few special Governor's Edition lots.
