2281 C 1838 pre-stamp wrapper to Wesleyan Missionary Society, London, ex "R. Williams, St. John. 18 Sept. 1838. Received 17 Oct. 1838" (from where? - possibly Antigua or Newfoundland?) Illegible m/s rate on front. On flap, good/fine almost complete stepped-frame h/s "SHIP LETTER/DOVER". Fine & clean.
