2273 C 1675 folded entire, addressed "For the Worshipful John Morris Esq. at his house in the Old Jewry in London" (letter from John Tomkins). With Bishop mark ("AP" over "2" [?] in bisected circle). Fine wax seal (initials). Distinctive handwriting. Light overall soiling but in good condition for its age (almost 350 years old!) This type of Bishop mark cat £125 by Whitney (1997).

On back, clear Bishop mark "11" over "DE" in bisected circle, & wax seal showing 2 anchors. Contents incl copies of 2 letters to the Navy Board. Light edge soiling but good condition for its age.
