(1 damaged), SG D40, D38. The 3d rated by SG at £500+ (£450 + £75) on cover.

1939 3d Postage Due orange-brown, single wmk (SG D44) on neat FDC (typed Waipukurau address). Posted stampless to Porangahau (cds 15 AU 39), alongside circular h/s "TO PAY / DOUBLE DEFICIENT POSTAGE" with m/s "2d" in centre crossed out & replaced by
m/s "3d". Stamp canc very fine Waipukurau cds (1st day) 16 AP 36 (further strike on back). Jury cat $650 for ½d-3d set of 4 FDC. This example is more "authentic" (at least, following the rules for the correct use of Postage Due stamps). SG cat
approx £150 for an example on any cover.

1939 ½d, 1d, 2d Postage Due (3rd design) short set of 3 (no 3d) on plain FDC, canc Waipukurau cds 16 AU 39, to local address. With strike of worn circular h/s "TO PAY 2d DOUBLE DEFICIENT POSTAGE" (held at Waipukurau?), but appears philatelic use.
Fine. Jury cat $650 for whole set on FDC.
