1918 WWI stampless OAS cover GB to NZ, canc Fleet / Hants. civil cds 20 AU 18. Sender's details: "Pvt. Hanlon, 74181, N.Z.M.C." [NZ Medical Corps]. Some NZ troops in specialised training were sent elsewhere than the major NZ training camps in GB;
their mail home was sent free of charge through the British civil PO system if it conformed to conditions outlined in a GPO circular of 30/11/1914. Creasing at top of cover.
