CEF World War I Historical Poster for Private Armand Melanson, who enlisted in the Moncton NB on Nov. 8th, 1915. 140th Battalion "A" Company. This is a standard "Patriotic-Poster-of-the-Day" where a photo was attached to the stock poster and the Soldier's information was printed thereon. In its original wood frame, the poster is clean, with no tears, repairs or tape. This condition is seldom seen on these, very fine and poster measures about 14½" x 20½". (Scan a)

Two Matching Framed Original Reconnaissance Maps of Passchendaele Offensive, both in museum conservation frames. these were printed in red and grey pastel inks so that strategic notations could be made and easily seen. They came from front-line soldiers, as such, one shows some "battle fatigue". Two different editions (printings) as German trenches changed. 1A (29.09.1917) and 1C (24.10.1917), parts 20 and 28. Smith (includes a digital remastered photocopy) 20" x 8". Second is an original framed newspaper (partial) print "Our First Canadian Army - 1st CEF" reviewed by King George V on Salisbury Plain Feb. 4, 1915. 18" x 8½". World War I and II Posters, with a WWII cigarettes broadside poster depicting a complete set of 25 (cigarette) ship cards affixed thereon, measuring 11½" x 23"; A Canadian Soldier (cigarette) Silks complete set of 55 poster print, size 23½" x 17"; World War I CEF 13th, 42nd 73rd Bat. recruiting framed poster print measuring 18" x 24", frame is 24½" x 28" (small break in corner of glass). Also includes a Montparnasse derailment October 22, 1895 poster depicting the Granville to Paris Express which overran the buffer stop at the Gare Montparnasse terminal (the engineer was fined 50 francs!) frame and poster measure 15½ x 19½.

Lovely World War I Print "Banners of the Empire" by Herbert Schmalz, depicting several flags of Canadian regiments placed upon General Wolfe's tomb in Westminster Abbey "Dedicated to our Brave Canadian Soldiers" while men were still fighting in France. A truly outstanding item, of museum quality with original float glass and wood frame, the painting was done in 1906 and is signed by the painter lower right corner (in pencil), alongside additional annotations from the painter at bottom. Original Framed Photograph of Vimy Presentation in Ottawa, showing seven dignitaries, this came from the estate of Edwin W. Brunsden (standing 2nd from right, bio included). Mr. Brunsden was a Member of Parliament (Medicine Hat riding) from 1958 to 1962, the background painting hangs in the House of Commons (Railway Committee room) entitled "The Ghosts of Vimy Ridge" by William Longstaff. The date "April 10th 1967" is inscribed in the lower left margin (50th anniversary of Vimy) - a very rare photo, with frame measuring 12" x 10½". (Scan a)

Two War Photographs, with a rare AUG.4.1914 "Canada's Rally to the Empire - Answering The Call of the Motherland", an original War Naval scene poster print measuring 10" x 42½", well preserved with only a couple of trivial wrinkles not noticeable from the front.
