Fine, the letter travelled on the Fitchburg RR to Fitchburg, then on the Cheshire RR to Bellow's Falls Vt and finally on the Sullivan RR to its final destination; letters handled by this express service are quite scarcernBeginning about 1846 and
until early 1851 when it was acquired by Fiske & Rice, Bigelow's Express operated from Boston to points west and north and received valuable letters and possibly small parcels from its office at the Railroad Exchange. (Image 1)
