COLLECTORS STOCK OF IRAN &N IRAQ One shoebox jammed full of glasines of mostly mint sets and singles from the 1960s to 1980s along with a small section of early used Iran. The shoebox begins with the early used Iran issues of the
1870s that includes some of the usual dubious material from the late 19th century. The early 20th century is quite sparse and then begins to pick up coverage with mint issues in the 1930s and 1940s, though the real value of this stock is found in
mint sets of the late 1950s to mid 1970s. Among this latter section we noted #1671-76 (9 sets) of an Olympic topical. Turning to the Iraq section, obviously this group can only begin in the 1930s which is quite sparse. Coverage strengthens in the
1950s and continues in the 1970s. Generally, inexpensive material, but a lot of stamps! |
