Authorization dated 16/JA/1941 to sailor (corporal) J. Klinkmüller to leave the camp on Martín García island to Buenos Aires, carrying a suitcase with clothes and personal effects. He was granted these permits to visit his girlfried
(later his wife), many of the sailors interned in camps in Argentina met people from the German community, who visited and helped them, and a good number of the sailors married Argentine women, and after being repatriated, they returned to Argentina
and settled here! (Image)
