Antarctica 1910-13 British Antarctic Expedition by Robert F. Scott A selection of items relating to Capt. H.R. Bowers, comprising
1910 (Nov.) and 1911 (Jan.) covers, both on Expedition crested stationery, from Bowers to his mother in Scotland, the first bearing N.Z. 1d. Universal posted at Lyttelton, the second without stamps and with letter, the contents of which include
"sitting in a sleeping bag in a tent close to where the "Discovery" was frozen in for 2 years"; four pieces cut from letters sent home by Bowers from the Terra Nova bearing Cape or Funchal adhesives, two of which bear his initials; a selection of
seven photographs, mostly taken by Bowers with three having Antarctic views, two postcards showing Bowers, a copy of his business card, and a 1915 (De.) letter from Commander H.L.L. Pennell to Mrs Bowers. A wonderful group, including items written in
