#J39 footnote, 2c Deep claret, surcharged "Due 1 cent" vertically on bisect, this example being the left vertical half addressed to Waucoma, Iowa franked along with a 1c Blue (#247) which is tied by a "Chicago, Ill./Oct 11/1895" waving "A" flag machine cancel, upon arrival cover was then forwarded to Jefferson, Iowa, "Postage Due/Forwarded" violet handstamp applied with ms. "1c" and "to Jefferson" added, provisional 1c bisect tied by "Jefferson, Iowa/Oct 13, 1895" c.d.s., Waucoma and Jefferson arrival marks on reverse, cover slightly reduced at left, inconsequential vertical file folds and with some peripheral edge faults, fine; an elusive cover as only twenty of these bisects were used.
