follows Cork to Dublin 169 miles - Milford to London 258 miles, total 427 miles. 1/2d - 2d packer - Menai Bridge 1d = 1/5d x 2 = 2/10) and finally endorsed "double only", very fine and a rare usage of the Too Late marking in this wonderful quality.(Image 1)

recorded.
Note: Richard Brinsley Butler Sheridan (30 October 1751 – 7 July 1816) was an Anglo-Irish playwright, writer and Whig politician who sat in the British House of Commons from 1780 to 1812.(Image 1)

1784 (January 27th) Folded entire from London to Dublin rated "6", addressed to John Hatch who was M.P. for Swords in the Irish parliament and entitled to receive his letter free, so "6" was cancelled by "FREE/D" and a straight line
Dublin Penny Post "F 2 M" (February 2nd Morning) hs was applied at the Penny Post office, when the post from London arrived too late for delivery by the General Post Letter Carriers, this letter was delivered by a Penny Post Letter Carrier and
further charged "1d" for inner city delivery, an attractive usage full of character.(Image 1)

1811 (February 20th) Folded entire from Arran Quay to Blackpitts (bankruptcy of Beresford & Ball) sent within the Dublin Penny Post, showing a black clear strike of the 2-line "QUENN ST / PENNY POST" with unusual error for QUENN for
QUEEN, and "1" hs of the Dublin Penny Post, the letter is backstamped with a deep red oval "8 O'CLOCK Mn" timestamp and a brown "FE 21" ds, a very fine and extremely rare showpiece. This is one of the two usages yet recorded of the QUENN error.(Image 1)

1819 (October 13th) Folded letter sheet sent within the Dublin Penny Post system and addressed to "12 Cuff St." and endorsed "to be forwarded if in Ireland", showing the large 2-line red "GEN.L-Py P OFFICE 2P Y- PAID" applied in error and
overstruck by the correct "GEN.L-Py P OFFICE 1P Y- PAID", backstamped with three "P.P. OFFICE" ribbon datestamps for 13OC13, 14OC14, 15OC15, indicating that the letter had been posted at least twice, very fine and scarce, being an unusual usage of

1831 (February 10th) Folded letter sheet to "his Excellency the Lord Lieutenant / Castle / Dublin", showing a clear crisp strike of crowned "TO•BE DELIVER'D FREE" type 1 hs in black (DF No.130), a wonderful example of this rare mkg.
Note: Crowned handstamps TO•BE DELIVER'D FREE were in use from 1816 to 1831. Edward James Baynes, as comptroller of the Dublin Penny Post used two types of the crown handstamp to exempt official mail from local postal charges to which ordinary
