Lot Symbol Catalog No. Descrip Opening
10520 Scott 27, 28, 30 imageGuanajuato 50c green lithographed multiple (three pairs + single consignment #47-1866), 13c blue (consignment # 83-1866) and 25c buff (consignment #92-1866) , all well margined except for one pair of 50c green cut into at left, all used on large wrapper piece. One 50c stamp shows the "Noodle on the Nose" flaw. A remarkably high three-color franking and probably the only recorded from three different consignments; the $3.88 rate ranks among the highest known for this issue. Cert. Jaretzky (1998).(Image 1) (Image 2) (Image 3)

10526 O, Scott 32 imageGuanajuato 13c blue engraved block of four, outstanding margins all around, cancelled on June 8, 1867 by "Franco/Guanajuato" cds. Thin spot at top. Engraved stamps were used very little and used blocks are so rare that NF does not value them. An exceptionally late usage, very close to Maximilian's execution on June 19.(Image 1) (Image 2)
