Puebla and San Luis Potosí 2r orange, 2nd/3rd periods, group of two very attractive across the lines covers with Republican and Imperial frankings. One is from Puebla to Oaxaca (close margins) dated August 12, #147-19864. At
this point Oaxaca was controlled by Republican Porfirio Díaz. The other cover is from San Luis Potosí to Matamoros dated April 17, 1865, #41-1864. Both show the "2" hs (different types) indicating additional postage was needed on receipt, as the
Republican authorities would not recognize the Imperial stamps. The Puebla cover is illustrated in Corbett's book. Ex Leo V. Corbett.(Image 1)
