40636 O RHM 6+6A image1846, 10r black, greyish paper, worn impression, vertical pair featuring types IIa / I, just frame line missing at left of upper design, otherwise very good margins including those balanced and large of the rare type I below, presumably cancelled by "Correio Da Bahia" cds. The type I on thin paper (not on "Bull's Eye paper) is the most seldom seen of the 60r stamps; the combination with the type IIa, only occurring vertically, is only known in used condition and with various usages recorded in Bahia.(Image 1) (Image 2)

40637 RHM 6+6A image1846, 60r black, greyish paper, worn impression, vertical pair featuring types I / IIa, wide even margins all around, showing the characteristic horizontal separation of the first plate between these two types, tied by blurred strike of Pernambuco shield datestamp on back of 30 September 1844 entire letter to Maranhão. Vertical file fold through the stamps, more affecting the less significant type IIa. An extremely rare usage of the type I on thin paper (not on "Bull's Eye paper) used on cover, this being the rarest 60r stamp; in addition, this example used in Pernambuco is scarcer than the more commonly found usage in Bahia. No examples of this stamp on cover were found in the prestigious "Gordon N. John" collection (Investphila, 13.11.2010).(Image 1)

40638 O, RHM 7+7A image1846, 90r black, greyish paper, intermediate impression, vertical block of six, showing types II / I / II per each horizontal row, wide balanced margins on all sides, cleanly and centrally cancelled by framed "Cidade/De/Nictheroy" handstamps (Ayres 1371). Horizontal crease at base between stamps not entering the designs. One of the finest of just about five blocks of six recorded.(Image 1) (Image 2)

Two small tears, one caused by ink erosion between stamps and not affecting any design, the other at top left. The third largest multiple of this stamp, extremely rare.(Image 1) (Image 2)

Small thin spot at base. The largest multiple recorded of this denomination, of which only four are recorded. This example is not listed by Walter G. Taveira in his handbook. A great rarity of the "Inclinados" issues, as this is the rarest denomination with multiples in used condition.(Image 1) (Image 2)
